BIO
As a cinematographer, Chad has contributed to several very successful campaigns winning creative accolades including 2014 Drum Award for best campaign 2015 Roses creative award, and The Royal Television Society Solo Craft Award for cinematography. His multi disciplinary approach to shoots draws from his early experiences in fine art, working closely with directors to achieve visually beautiful material. His path into film began as a visual arts undergraduate in Brighton in 1994, developing a fascination for moving image based work. After graduating he bought his first movie camera (a small handheld dv camera) travelled across China, and documented work and conversations with artists. This project paved the way to studying a Masters in Cinematography at The Northern Media School in 1999. Soon after this in 2000, he began work as a trainee on 35mm features, drama's and commercials, progressing steadily, learning the craft and developing a pallet he now uses to his success. Chad currently shoots predominantly commercials, but his portfolio includes a generous range of shorts, music videos, arts, drama, and terrestrial TV programmes.
